In the beginning of October 2023, Google announced its latest smartphones, Pixel 8 series. In the US, Google set the lowest price of Pixel 8 as 699 USD. Also, the American tech giant set the lowest price of Pixel 8 Pro as 999 USD. It means that the company decided to increase the retail price of its latest smartphones, compared to 2022. The decision affects not only the US but also other countries in the world. For example, the retail price of Pixel 8 series in Japan is increased by about 30%, compared to the previous series.
The main difference between Pixel 8 series and the previous model is the improvement of image and movie processing. Google has developed its own semiconductor called “Tensor”, and Pixel 8 series install “Tensor G3”.
