Our research correspondent has attended MWC Barcelona both in 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023. One of the disappointed companies in MWC Barcelona 2023 was Samsung. This result is a little bit surprised for us. This is because Samsung has been a major exhibitor in several world trade shows. For instance, Samsung exhibited its foldable smartphones and home appliances in IFA 2022. We think that Samsung was the biggest exhibitor in IFA 2022 and one of the most impressive companies there.
In addition, Samsung exhibited its first ever foldable smartphone, “Galaxy Fold”, in MWC Barcelona 2019. As a result, the South Korean company delivered us one of the hottest topics in the event. He also attended the event and still remembers enthusiasm there. Therefore, it seems unnatural for us to feel that Samsung is a disappointed exhibitor in the major trade show.
