Our research correspondent attended both MWC Barcelona 2019 and 2023. MWC Barcelona (formerly but still commonly referred to as Mobile World Congress) is an annual trade show organized by GSMA. The event dedicates primarily to the mobile communications industry. Device manufacturers, network equipment providers, representatives of wireless carriers, and the press, among others attend the event. Its annual attendance is generally around 100,000 people.
When he attended both events, he felt a big difference among them. It is a description of “5G”. In the beginning of 2019, many countries and regions tried to introduce 5G networks there.
