In the end of July, Toyota shared its production and delivery in the first half of 2023. The results included the data of its group companies, which are Daihatsu and Hino. In fact, the Toyota group realized record high production in terms of the first half of the year (it means from January to June). The number of productions between January and June 2023 was 5.62 million cars. In 2021 and 2022, automotive companies were facing the difficulty of chip shortage. However, the problem is getting better in 2023.
In addition, the Toyota group increase its production capacity in the North America as well as Asia. As a result, the Japanese automotive company group achieved this amazing result. The number of group’s production, which is 5.62 million vehicles, is increased by 10%, compared to 2022. Also, the Toyota group manufactured 3.52 million cars overseas. This number is record high as well in terms of the first half of the year, and increased by 5% compared to the last year.
