Tesla shared the results of the 1st quarter of 2023. The US company delivered 422,875 vehicles from January to March, 2023. It means that the company renewed its quarterly record again in the first quarter of 2023. It delivered 10,695 Model S or X typed vehicles, and this number was decreased by 38%, compared to the same period of 2022. On the other hand, Tesla delivered 412,180 Model 3 or Model Y typed cars, and this number was increased by 40%, compared to the same period of 2023.
The total number of its deliveries, which is 422,875, is increased by 40% compared to the first quarter of 2022. Therefore, we think that this result is good for company’s mission, to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
This is because the more people own Tesla’s vehicle, the closer the world’s transition to sustainable energy is. Also, Model 3 & Model Y are relatively budget model for consumers within Tesla’s product mix. In fact, the company cut the price of its products twice a year in order to stimulate demand. We think that price cut worked, when we see this result.
