Several media reported that RENFE is considering it offers new operation between Paris and London. RENFE is the Spanish state-owned freight and passenger trains company. Our media has already reported that its French rival, OUIGO, started its new service among some Spanish cities.
OUIGO is a French low-cost high-speed train service and offers long-distance services on core routes of the French rail network. It is an independent subsidiary of the French national rail company SNCF and also utilizes some of their TGV trainsets.
Our report means that RENFE is facing tough competitions in its home market, Spain. In fact, our researcher experienced to move between Barcelona and Madrid by RENFE or OUIGO, respectively. What’s more, she thinks that user experience by OUIGO is better than that by RENFE from several perspectives.
