Subaru Corporation is a Japanese multinational corporation and conglomerate primarily involved in both terrestrial and aerospace transportation manufacturing. It is famous for the brand of Subaru automobiles. The company was founded in 1953 and formerly named Fuji Heavy Industries, Ltd. (FHI) until 2017.
The company’s aerospace division is a defense contractor to the Japanese government, manufacturing Boeing and Lockheed Martin helicopters and airplanes. The same division is a global development and manufacturing partner to both companies.
Subaru is the automobile manufacturing division of Japanese transportation conglomerate Subaru Corporation. In Western markets, Subaru vehicles have traditionally attracted a small but devoted core of buyers. The company’s marketing targets those who desire its signature engine and drive train. Also, people who desire all-wheel drive and rough-road capabilities, or affordable sports car designs are its targets.
