Rivian is an American electric vehicle automaker and automotive technology company. The company is founded at Irvine, California in 2009. Rivian is manufacturing an electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) and pickup truck. The US company makes use of a skateboard platform that can support future vehicles or be adopted by other companies.
Rivian designs for complete life cycles across everything it does. For example, its battery packs are designed to be easily removed from vehicles. Or they can be either recycled or used in “second life” applications such as stationary storage. The company makes use of 100% animal-free materials for interiors of its vehicles.
