In the middle of June, 2023, Toyota announced that it will manufacture Electric Vehicles with solid-state batteries by 2027. Toyota is the largest company in Japan in terms of its sales revenue and market capitalization in the fiscal year of 2022. Also, the company is an automotive manufacturer that has sold vehicles in the most for three consecutive years. Therefore, we can easily imagine that its presence is huge not only in Japan but also in the world.
However, the Japanese automotive giant has been criticized in the beginning of 2020s. This was because the company has tried to manufacture and sell electric vehicles (EVs) as well as combustion engine cars. On the other hand, there are several car makers that are focusing on EVs. They are Tesla, BYD and others. In addition, their share price is increasing more than that of Toyota.
